Wheelchair Tennis Clinics

The IWTA organizes runs and sponsors three, two-hour tennis clinics throughout the year for its members. The IWTA board arranges for the facility, pays the court fees, provides tennis balls, refreshments and hires a tennis professional to teach wheelchair athletes all aspects of the game. The IWTA board pays for the clinics and collects a nominal fee from each member/athlete to help defray the cost. The clinics are not organized as a fundraiser. The sole purpose is to promote and teach the sport of wheelchair tennis to the athletes.  The organization spends about 10% of its time on this activity.
